About This Convention
The #BlackGeekHomecoming — a multi-disciplinary festival and conference celebrating Historically Black Colleges and Universities and Black geek culture. HBCUCon bridges HBCUs with Black nerds at large through panels, workshops, keynote speakers, gaming, cosplay showcases, live performances, comedy, and cultural celebrations. Rooted in Pan-Africanism and the legacy of HBCUs as the first institutionalized safe spaces for Black nerds in America.
